What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete & Masonry Foreman position at Link and Sons LLC?
The Role
You'll run our concrete, masonry, and sitework in the field — sometimes that's several smaller jobs going at once, sometimes a single larger project. Day to day on site, you'll work directly with our general contractors and homeowners, with our office handling the broader GC relationship behind you. A year in, you'll be a foreman we can hand a job to and trust to deliver it clean, on schedule, and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Run a crew of roughly five on concrete, CMU/block, and sitework — layout, formwork, pours, finishing, block, and the site prep that goes with it
- Read blueprints, plans, and shop drawings, plan the work, and run the scope with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Take pride in a clean, well-organized site and an efficient crew, and keep an eye on the materials and tools each job uses
- Run the crew's day in Buildertrend — clock in and out, make sure every guy is clocked into the right job, write the daily logs, and take and upload jobsite photos (we'll get you up to speed if you haven't used it)
- Be the professional face of the company on site, including on high-end Boca Grande projects
- Keep your crew safe and the site squared away, in line with OSHA standards
- Travel between our job areas — Boca Grande, Bradenton, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg — as the work requires
What We're Looking For
Required:
- At least 5 years in concrete and masonry, including 2 years running a crew as a foreman or lead
- Able to read blueprints, plans, and shop drawings and run a scope on your own
- Working knowledge of jobsite safety, OSHA standards, and quality control
- Pride in your work — a clean, organized site, an efficient crew, and ownership over how the job goes
- Valid Florida driver's license and a clean enough driving record to be covered under our company auto insurance (our carrier pulls the record — you'll be driving a company truck)
- Willing to travel between our job areas as work requires
Preferred:
- Experience with sitework
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) — preferred, but not required
- Helical pile experience — we'll train the right person, so this isn't required
Compensation & What We Provide
- $30–$35/hour, flexible based on experience
- Company truck and gas card
- Company card for tools, ice, water, and job supplies — you won't be covering consumables or fuel out of your own pocket
- Paid holidays
