Quality Lab Technician - $19–21/hour – Covington, VA
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Type: Contract to Perm
Pay: $19–21/hour depending on experience

Lingo Staffing is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for a leading manufacturing partner in Covington, VA!

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in chemistry or laboratory testing who are looking to grow their career in quality control and analytical lab environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
• Analyze materials using laboratory techniques such as acid-base and redox titrations, particle size analysis, gravimetric analysis, melt point testing, and color comparison
• Issue and manage quality control labels for materials, including approved, quarantined, and rejected statuses
• Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain clean, organized analytical glassware and equipment
• Accurately document test results and maintain detailed lab records and data
• Monitor work-in-progress and finished product quality for release and compliance
• Order and maintain laboratory chemicals, supplies, and inventory to support daily operations

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree (AAS) in Chemistry or related field preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in an analytical lab, quality control lab, or similar environment preferred
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, testing methods, and data documentation
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a laboratory setting
• Comfortable working with chemicals and standard lab safety procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods with occasional walking
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
