The Opportunity
In this role you will:
- Support the full construction procurement programmes from inception to completion as required
- Partner with the wider team to develop and agree on a procurement strategy for all construction packages and ensure alignment with the programme schedule
- Develop impactful commercial presentations and communications for contractors throughout the pre-and-post contract phases
- Review and evaluate proposals and make recommendations to the wider team
- Support the negotiation of pricing for work packages, analysing information and implementing strategies to ensure value for money
- Be a content expert on owner's bespoke form of contract and method of measurement
- Manage and ensure contract alignment for contractors and project team performance
- Ensure effective coordination of incoming and outgoing contract notices
- Oversee the timely execution of contract releases, payment applications and change order management
- Assist in the negotiation and settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims
- Review cost saving proposals and identify affected components of the compensation strategy and implications on contract

- Have experience in unit rate construction pricing and management contracting methodologies
