What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workday Finance Product Lead position at Lineage?
At Lineage, as our business continues to grow in size and complexity across the globe, we're looking for a Lead on the Workday Team to define the vision and execute on the roadmap for the Workday Financial Management platform.
The Workday Finance Product Lead will work closely with the Finance teams globally to assess, design, reimagine and evolve the Workday solution to drive efficiency, data quality and user experience. This role will bring the right balance of global financial process knowledge and Workday Financial Management capabilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop a thorough understanding of current Workday Financial Management solution and its global footprint at Lineage.
- Develop and maintain a trust-based relationship with Finance leaders.
- Understand key Finance business goals and connect the dots on process and technology. Identify Workday/ technology opportunities and challenges.
- Develop and present an actionable roadmap to deliver on the business goals and secure alignment from key Finance and IT stakeholders.
- Develop details on the initiatives and document business requirements. Propose and design appropriate Workday and related technology solutions.
- Drive planning of upcoming initiatives by collaborating with Program Management Lead.
- Own and lead delivery of functional capabilities of in-flight initiatives.
- Keep stakeholders informed on any technology or capability challenges and demonstrate a solution first approach to such scenarios
- Be able to investigate, identify and communicate Workday application. Assist with developing effective resolutions while collaborating with Workday and internal team.
- Assist team members to evaluate Workday configuration options and provide guidance on building interfaces with other Finance and other corporate systems.
- Compliance and risk assessment
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- 5 - 10 years of related experience building solutions for a global organization using Workday Financials Management platform.
- Experience with following Workday Finance capabilities: Core Financials, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Adaptive Planning, Expenses, Projects and Reporting. Familiarity with Workday integration solutions, direct and via middleware. Experience/ familiarity with Extend and Accounting Center is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of key Finance business processes, reporting needs and challenges in a global organization (CPA or similar finance certification is a strong plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to connect the dots in unfamiliar settings.
