We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our patient-focused ophthalmology practice. If you enjoy working with people, have strong clinical skills,and are committed to providing exceptional patient care, we'd love to hear from you.
Position:
Full-time (Monday–Friday)
Responsibilities:
Welcome and prepare patients for examination.
Obtain medical and ocular histories.
Measure visual acuity and perform preliminary testing.
Perform diagnostic testing, including OCT, Visual Fields, Fundus Photography,
refraction, and intraocular pressure (if trained).
Assist physician with examinations and minor procedures.
Administer eye drops and provide patient education.
Document findings accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Maintain examination rooms and ophthalmic equipment clean and organized.
Qualifications:
Previous ophthalmic experience preferred but not required—we are willing to train the
right candidate.
Certification (COA, COT, or COMT) is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and EMR proficiency.
Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care.
