Lindsay Renewables

Director of Engineering

Location: Canal Fulton, OH

Reports to: President — Integrated Solutions

About Lindsay Renewables

Lindsay Renewables partners with leading energy equipment OEMs to design and build power conversion skids for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. With vertically integrated fabrication capabilities and two strategically located integration facilities — one east, one west — we've delivered over 20 gigawatts of power conversion skids to date, enough to power more than 3.5 million American homes. Our mission: help our partners deploy clean energy faster, safer, and more cost-effectively. As we grow, we're actively exploring complementary markets that align with our fabrication and electrical integration capabilities — expanding the impact of what we build beyond solar and storage.

About the Role

The Director of Engineering will own our overall engineering development — leading the design, fabrication, and delivery of power conversion skids while serving as a direct liaison with customers and a key partner to our sales team. Beyond running engineering across both integration facilities, this leader translates customer needs into buildable solutions, supports the sales process with technical expertise, and helps shape our entry into new, complementary markets.

Key Responsibilities

•   Own overall engineering development, setting technical direction from customer requirements through delivered skid

•   Serve as a direct technical liaison with customers and partner closely with sales to scope solutions, support proposals, and win new work

•   Lead engineering teams responsible for skid design, integration, and fabrication across both east and west facilities

•   Partner with OEM electrical equipment manufacturers to translate their equipment specs into integrated, project-ready skid designs

•   Own the engineering roadmap that supports faster project timelines and plug-and-play delivery for customers

•   Evaluate and help shape engineering strategy for new markets that leverage our fabrication and electrical integration capabilities

•   Drive design standardization and process improvements across facilities to increase throughput and reduce cost per skid

•   Ensure ERP systems and engineered work instructions/documentation stay aligned with fabrication processes across both facilities

•   Ensure engineering output meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards for utility-scale solar and battery storage applications

•   Manage engineering budgets, staffing, and capacity planning across both sites

•   Collaborate with fabrication, project management, and supply chain teams to keep projects on schedule

•   Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent to support continued growth

•   Report on engineering performance, capacity, and risk to executive leadership

Qualifications

•   Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (advanced degree a plus)

•   10 years of engineering experience, including 5 years in a leadership role

•   Experience in power electronics, electrical skid/package integration, or utility-scale solar/storage strongly preferred

•   Track record leading engineering teams across multiple facilities or sites

•   Strong grasp of fabrication processes, balance-of-system components, and relevant electrical codes/standards

•   Strong grasp of ERP systems and their role in supporting operations, including engineered work instructions and documentation

•   Proven ability to engage directly with customers and support sales as a technical leader

•   Comfort operating in ambiguity, with experience evaluating adjacent market opportunities a plus

•   Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

What We Offer

•   Competitive salary and equity

•   Health, dental, and vision benefits

•   The chance to help lead critical infrastructure for America's clean energy transition and shape what comes next
