Position Overview
Lindfast Solutions Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of products while maintaining high standards of safety, organization, and productivity. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can motivate teams, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Plan and implement warehouse layout and space optimization strategies to improve efficiency and capacity utilization.
Inventory Control
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation.
• Track inbound and outbound inventory movements and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance and safety goals.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and manage employee performance, including cross-training, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance
• Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to warehousing, material handling, shipping, and OSHA standards.
Logistics & Cross-Functional Communication
• Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective pick up and deliveries.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve issues and support business objectives.
Financial Management
• Control operational costs by managing labor, supplies, and warehouse expenses.
Process Improvement
• Monitor warehouse performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Supervisor/Manager or in a similar leadership role, Fastener environment experiences a big plus.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, inventory control and cycle count programs and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with computers and standard business software applications.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (Min 50lbs) and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, Turret a plus (certification preferred).
• Knowledge of Distribution Plus system is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration/management is a plus.
