Logistics Supervisor
Lenexa, KS, United States | req32719 Work Schedule: 1st Shift
What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role you will provide leadership and direction for day-to-day distribution operations to ensure customer demand is met consistently and eficiently
- You will be responsible for maintaining supply reliability for customers and locations, ensuring all medical gas deliveries comply with FDA standards and Linde's quality assurance system
- Schedule delivery of packaged and cryogenic products to meet internal goals, customer expectation and operational standard
- Train the Distribution Team in all aspects of Linde Safety and Quality systems and requirements
- You will monitor distribution efficiencies and staffing levels to ensure customer delmands are consistently met
- You will lead safety initiatives, including adminsistering safety training, conducting evaluations, and overseeing accident investigations
- Control costs by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-efficient method of shipment
- Drive productivity to maximize distribution capabilities and operational efficiency, while providing job training that fosters career development and growth
- You must have a high school diploma; a ollege degree is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, along with atleast 2 years in Distribution, Logistics, or Transportation
- You will have strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
- You are knowledgeable of regulatory agency requirements including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA
- Experience working in a Union environment is a plus
- Demonstrated reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- You have are self motivated with the proven ability to work independently and while maintaining a high level of accountability
