The Chemical Lab Manager will lead a Team of Analytical Chemists who are accountable for conducting cGMP tests, certifications and preparing documentation for Pharmaceutical, Medical, Medical Device and Specialty Gas Products. The Laboratory Manager is accountable for ensuring aal their team members manage the Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Employee Engagement programs decreed under LG&E programs and the Laboratory Manager is to ensure that required government and/or environmental regulations are met.

- Provides leadership, product scheduling and product quality reviews to ensure the day-to-day operations of the Analytical Chemists are achieved
- Responsible for all supervisory duties as assigned for any subordinates assigned
- Carries out new method development, analytical research, and product stability testing assignments in meeting weekly objectives
- Analyze technical aspects of projects and determines methods and techniques to be used and principles to be applied
- Utilize or adapt standard methods of procedure
- Prepares periodic and final progress reports in conjunction with the National Quality Team
- Manages equipment calibrations, maintenance, upkeep and replacement cycles to ensure all laboratory equipment are functional to LG&E’s cGMP requirements
- Works within a Team Environment with the Plant, Production and Maintenance Managers to be audit ready every day.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Industrial Gas experience is preferred
- 1-2 years Supervisory experience
- 3-5 years Lab experience
- Experience in gas chromatography, FTIR, and process analyzers
