Tooling Technician
Indianapolis, IN, United States | req33137 Day shift, 07:00am – 03:30pm, Monday - Friday
What you will enjoy doing*
- Develop, implement, and maintain a consumable tooling inventory system across multiple departments
- Manage tooling receiving, incoming inspections, storage, organization, and inventory records
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely tooling procurement and delivery
- Read and interpret technical drawings to support tooling requirements and operations
- Generate and process purchase requests for tooling and related supplies across departments
- Administer tooling disposal activities, including documentation, recordkeeping, and customer communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast tooling demand based on customer schedules and production needs
- Promote and maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous operational support
- High School Diploma required
- 2 years experience with support processes/inventory control. Proven relevant experience may be considered
- Proficiency with MS Office & Oracle/related database software
- You will have the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while processing, masking, demasking, loading, unloading, inspecting, and packaging customer hardware and materials
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- You will work in a production environment that may include exposure to noise, dust, vibration, heat, cold, and industrial chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to visually inspect parts, materials, and process conditions to identify defects, damage, contamination, or other nonconforming conditions
- Ability to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators, protective clothing, and other PPE as required by the task or work area
