What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Engineer position at Lind?
Who We Are
We are a team of engineers, data scientists, clinical research professionals, and clinicians who believe every patient deserves access to the best possible treatment options—no matter who they are, where they live, or where they receive their care. We're breaking down barriers to clinical trial access by developing an AI-powered solution that can analyze a patient's medical records to identify the most promising clinical trials available to them.
Our approach is centered on empowering patients and clinicians with the right information at the right time. By providing transparent insights, our products help equip care teams and patients with the information they need to make educated, confident decisions. We aim to break down the barriers to treatment access and transform how care is personalized for each individual.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6 years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack ownership at Senior or Staff scope.
- Strong proficiency building modern web applications with React and Next.js, including performance optimization, state management, and component architecture.
- Solid backend experience with Django, including API design, authentication, background jobs, and data modeling.
- Experience shipping and maintaining production systems in cloud environments with strong fundamentals in CI/CD and observability.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently: you can take an ambiguous problem, break it down, ship a solution, and own the outcome.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Startup experience, especially with early-stage or small teams.
- Strong product instincts—you care about UX details, performance, and reliability because they matter to users.
- Experience building secure systems and handling sensitive data.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and a clear understanding of their strengths and limitations.
About the Role
As a Full-Stack Product Engineer, you'll build and improve the core product experience for clinical trial matching across our Django backend and React/Next.js frontend. You'll work closely with clinical and research stakeholders to deliver features that directly impact how patients discover treatment options.
This is a hands-on IC role with real ownership. You'll have autonomy over meaningful parts of the product and make decisions about how to build them well. You'll collaborate with infrastructure and clinical team members to ship software that's reliable, usable, and makes a difference.
