What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Lincoln Tech?
Join our team at Lincoln Tech, where we are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Professional to help maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of our campus facilities. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
The successful candidate will respond to work orders, address maintenance issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete assigned projects efficiently. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position, with occasional evening, Saturday, or Sunday work as needed.
Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs

Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs

Service and maintain onsite equipment and machinery

Conduct monthly building, equipment, and safety inspections

Respond promptly to work orders and urgent facility issues

Assist with furniture moves, deliveries, classroom setups, and campus events

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies

Support snow removal and other seasonal duties

Respond to after-hours maintenance calls when required

Identify and report safety hazards and major repair needs

Maintain clean and organized maintenance and storage areas

Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training

General handyman or building-maintenance experience

Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, painting, and general building trades

Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage assigned priorities

Ability to transport, handle, and lift up to 75 pounds
-
Ability to bend, climb ladders, stand, and walk for extended periods

Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Valid driver’s license is required
