Lincoln Tech in Melrose Park is looking for experienced technicians in Automotive, Electrical and Low Voltage, HVAC, and Welding to join our team as part-time Instructors. Responsibilities of a Skilled Trade Instructor/Part-time:
- Deliver hands-on training using Lincoln Tech's structured, accredited curriculum
- Create a safe, engaging environment in the classroom and shop
- Evaluate and communicate student progress in a clear, timely way
- Support student growth, professionalism, and accountability
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records
- Help maintain shop equipment and uphold safety standards
Requirements of a Skilled Trade Instructor/Part-time:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in your trade (excluding teaching experience)
- Current certifications or licenses as required by your trade and state regulations
- Strong communication skills — you can explain what you know in a way others understand
- Comfortable with basic computer skills and learning new tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Teaching experience is a plus, but not required
