What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Technician position at Lincoln Surgical Hospital/Nebraska Surgery Center?
Nebraska Surgery Center specializes in Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, General, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Dental, Plastic and Cosmetic, Obstetrics and Gynecological, Neuro, and ENT.
Hours: Full time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Monday – Friday, 12 pm - 8:30 pm.
Responsible for the efficient cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing of supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established procedures.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS required within 60 days of employment.
- Sterile Processing certification required within two (2) years of hire date.
- Prefer previous experience in processing surgical instruments and a demonstrated ability in sterilization techniques with a thorough knowledge of instrumentation, care, and handling.
