The Schedule: Balance Your Life
Enjoy a predictable, full-time schedule with no weekends and no holidays.
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 60 hours per pay period (bi-weekly).
- Rotation: 3, 12-hour shifts one week, 2, 12-hour shifts the next, from 7:00 am - 7:30 pm.
- Stability: Specific shift times will be discussed during the interview to ensure a great fit.
Your Role & Impact
As an Outpatient RN, you are the critical link in a patient’s surgical journey. You will provide skilled nursing care during the immediate pre-operative and post-operative phases, using your expertise to ensure safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Operative Excellence: Perform admissions, comprehensive assessments, and prepare patients mentally and physically for surgery.
- Recovery & Transition: Receive patients from surgery, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and manage pain and stabilization.
- Critical Surveillance: Proactively identify and respond to potential medical or surgical complications.
- Patient Advocacy: Lead discharge teaching to ensure patients and families are confident in their recovery at home.
What You Bring:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Active Nebraska RN License (or compact state license with Nebraska residency declared within 30 days).
- Certifications: Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
- Experience: Previous PACU or recovery care experience is preferred, but we value a strong clinical foundation and a passion for outpatient care.
