Physical Education / Health (Wellness) Teacher

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified (.25 FTE) Wellness Teacher commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Lincoln-Sudbury offers a comprehensive four-year Wellness program, which includes a core curriculum of  Intro to Wellness, Foundations of Strength Training, First Aid/CPR, Outdoor Pursuits, Health Issues and Cardiovascular Fitness. In addition to these required courses, the department offers a variety of electives.  

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Able to teach a variety of Wellness content (physical education and outdoor education). Additional ability to teach health education content preferred, but not required.
• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community.
• Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.
• Creates a class environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior.
• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed.
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress.
• Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school.
• Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Physical Education (5-12) and/or Health Education (9-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. 

Experience Preferred:

• 3 years educational teaching environment preferred
• High School teaching experience preferred

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Google tools including Classroom, Slides, Sheets and Docs

Salary:

• According to the Teachers' CBA
• Prorate annual salary according to the .25 FTE

Salary : $59,489 - $139,949
