What are the responsibilities and job description for the Latin Teacher - Long Term Substitute position at Lincoln Sudbury Regional School District?
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Long-Term Substitute Latin teacher to cover a leave of absence starting March 23, 2026 and ending, on or about, June 17, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
- Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
- Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
- Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
- Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
- Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
- Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Latin and Classical Humanities 5-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education
Experience Preferred:
- 3 years educational teaching environment preferred
- High School teaching experience preferred
Salary Range:
- Unlicensed candidate: $125/day (1-90 days)
- Licensed candidate: $125/day (1-30 days)
- Licensed candidate: $312.19/day - $734.44/day (30 days)
- Based on degree and licensed teaching experience
