Sourcing Manager

We are partnering with a growing privately held product-based organization in the northern suburbs of Chicago to identify a Sourcing Manager for a newly created role tied to continued business growth.
This position will report into senior operations leadership and play a key role in managing sourcing execution, supplier communication, and product flow across a global vendor network. The role offers broad visibility across purchasing, logistics, planning, and cross-functional coordination in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Key areas of focus include:
- Managing purchase orders, supplier communication, and delivery timelines
- Overseeing Time & Action calendars and milestone tracking
- Monitoring supplier performance, lead times, and shipment execution
- Coordinating with internal teams across planning, inventory, and operations
- Supporting cost analysis and sourcing decisions to improve efficiency and continuity
- Helping resolve delays, quality concerns, and supply disruptions proactively
We are seeking professionals with:
- 5 years of sourcing, supply chain, production, or planning experience
- Background working with overseas suppliers and factory partners
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities
- Experience in product-based environments involving multiple SKUs and production timelines
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting requiring both detail and ownership
