Role Description
The Development Intern is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role blends technical support with marketing and sales initiatives to help grow the firm’s client base and brand presence. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with operational tasks, documenting features, and collaborating on system enhancements that improve trading workflows and client experiences. In addition, the intern will play an active role in marketing and sales efforts: creating and editing video content for the company’s YouTube channel, designing simple graphics and visual assets, supporting content calendars, analyzing engagement metrics, drafting client-facing communications, and assisting with outreach, lead follow-up, and business-development activities. This is an opportunity to combine technical skills with creative, client-oriented work in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical team members, documenting work clearly, and supporting client-facing or sales conversations.
- Interest or experience in marketing, sales, client-facing work, or business development within a financial services context.
- Basic design/editing skills or strong willingness to learn (experience with tools such as Canva, or similar is a plus).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, Sales, or a related field.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced setting.
- Basic understanding of financial markets; exposure to futures or options trading is beneficial but not required.
