Position Description
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking qualified, part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach for the Veterinary Assistant program at the LLCC Medical District Building in Springfield.
Instructors will be responsible for the following:

- Prepare lessons and update course materials as needed including course syllabi.
- Develop quizzes, exams, and other course materials.
- Provide quality instruction and classroom management.
- Make recommendations for updates/changes as needed to maintain currency of the program.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance including following grading procedures.
- Collaborate with the program coordinator to address and resolve student concerns, proactively identifying potential barriers to a positive learning environment, and promptly reporting and managing any incidents that may arise in the classroom setting
- Utilize instructional technology in support of the teaching/learning process
Instructor’s pay will range from $27.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience and education. The anticipated schedule for this position is 6 hours per week (plus development time) held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 pm – 9 pm, January 7 – June 3, 2026.

Position Requirements
Instructors must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of veterinary assistant course or program
- 1-3 years work experience as a veterinary assistant or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of veterinary assistant course or program.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Available two evenings per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
