The Lincoln Journal Star is seeking a dedicated and reliable independent contractor in Fairbury, NE to do business with us as a Newspaper Carrier. This partnership is essential for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of newspapers to our subscribers. As a Newspaper Carrier, you would be responsible for managing your delivery route efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver newspapers to designated routes in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and securely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any subscriber inquiries or concerns.
- Report any delivery issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize route planning skills to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Work independently and manage time effectively.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Must have auto insurance with $100,000/$300,000 minimum liability. Before starting, must add Lee Enterprises as an additional insured party.
- Must be 19 years or older.
- Must be able to pick up papers in Fairbury, NE and then drive to deliver route.
- Must be able to finish delivery by deadline. (7:30am on Sundays, 7:00am all other days)
- Must be able to commit to deliver every day Tuesday through Sunday. (We do not publish on Mondays and some holidays)
