Summary:
The Nurse Manager, Surgical Services oversees the effective and efficient operation of the department and operating rooms, including Pre-Admission Testing, the Ambulatory Surgery Unit, Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Sterile Processing Unit, while driving continuous quality improvement, exceptional patient experiences, and strong care team engagement.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Associates degree (ADN) required. Bachelor’s degree (BSN) desirable.
- License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Professional Registered Nurse. Certified Nurse in Operating Room preferred. Current BLS certification.
- Experience: Three years RN experience.
- Affiliation with Association of Operating Room Nurses required.
- Affiliation with Organization of Maine Nurse Executives recommended.
