We are seeking a full-time Community Engagement Coordinator to join our Business Development Team immediately. This person will expand and deepen LGL’s partnerships across Central Texas and beyond. The ideal candidate is outgoing, self-motivated, and deeply committed to immigrant rights and social justice. You will work closely with our current Community Engagement team member and leadership to identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, churches, local businesses, professional associations, and government entities such as the Mexican Consulate. This person will seek out and coordinate community events where LGL can share safety planning and legal resources. The Community Engagement Coordinator will represent LGL at events, speaking with compassion and clarity about our mission. They will also support special projects for the firm owner, Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch. This position will require traveling extensively within Central Texas (with potential for statewide expansion). While the schedule is primarily standard business hours, there may be times when evening or weekend work is needed to support events or special projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for LGL to participate in events that align with our mission.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for LGL, promoting accessibility and trust.
  • Assist with the logistics and outreach for El Bus Sin Fronteras.
  • Support the Business Development team in advancing firm goals and partnerships.
  • Provide assistance on special initiatives and projects at the direction of the firm owner.

Education:

Mandatory Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-year experience in a similar position.
  • Campaign field or organizing experience strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to urgent needs and special projects.
  • Experience in the legal services industry is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to immigrant rights, justice, and accessibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to self-start, manage projects independently, and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Outgoing, personable, and able to connect with diverse communities.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Highly organized and proactive in managing communications.
  • Empathetic and client-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively, including speaking and hearing, as well as using their hands for tasks such as typing or handling materials. Limited lifting may also be required.
