JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist
with the management of both timber and non-timber resources on the
county forest; to assist with duties associated with the county\'s
parks/recreation program; to assist with maintenance/development
projects undertaken by the department; and to assist with any other
tasks performed by the Lincoln County Forestry Land and Parks
Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties
are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive
or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Carries out
the establishment of timber sales on County forest lands, including
identifying potential timber sale sites, cruising timber, laying out
timber sale boundaries, marking timber, updating recon data. Ensures
annual allowable cut goals are met and that all sales comply with forest
certification standards. Participates in the planning, layout, and
supervision of planting programs, road and trail construction and
maintenance, trail mowing, and related field activities. Inspects and
assists with tree removal and planting operations on County forest
lands. Investigates and reports potential issues including theft,
trespass, insect or disease concerns, and contract violations. Follows
established safety rules, protocols, and procedures. Assists with
implementing fire control programs, reducing fire hazards, and may
assist with wildfire suppression efforts. Provides technical forestry
assistance to private landowners upon request. Assists with the
planning, implementation and maintenance of various forest and park
recreation programs. May train and supervise seasonal or temporary
employees. Prepares and maintains required reports and documentation.
Assists with implementing the Invasive Species/Forest Pest Control
program, including handling and applying herbicides and other

Bachelor\'s degree in Forestry or a related field with three to five
