POSITION: VARISTY SIDELINE CHEER COACH - LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director/Principal

SUMMARY
Position is responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a high school diploma
- Knowledge of the sport
- Ability to prepare students to participate in the sport in a competitive and sportsmanlike way.
- Ability to teach stunts and tumbling through safe, step-by-step progressions, ensuring athletes master basics before attempting advanced skills.
- Consistently promotes fairness, respect, and multiple perspectives in all responsibilities
- Experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
- Relate to young people in a positive manner.
- Meet requirements for public school employment.
- Maintaining constant supervision; staying current with CPR/First Aid and emergency action plans.

The position requires the individual to sometimes work irregular or extended work hours and meet multiple demands from several people.
