What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tow Truck Driver/Operator position at Lincoln City Towing?
Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and professional towing services to customers in need
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks or flatbeds
- Perform automotive diagnostics to determine the cause of breakdowns or accidents
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring their satisfaction
- Drive tow trucks and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Conduct basic automotive repairs and maintenance as needed
- Utilize conflict management skills to handle difficult situations with customers or other drivers
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license w/no accidents or citations within the last 3 years
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably in a towing or recovery setting
- Knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostics
- Ability to operate a forklift for loading and unloading vehicles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with flatbed towing procedures and equipment
- Proficiency in using automotive repair tools and equipment
