Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair needs
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, order fulfillment, and use of inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining excellent cashiering and cash handling practices
- Support dealership or retail sales efforts by promoting products, upselling when appropriate, and contributing to marketing initiatives
- Ensure proper stocking of shelves, organize parts displays, and maintain a clean, organized work environment to optimize accessibility for team members and customers
- Collaborate with the service team to facilitate automotive diagnostics, repair orders, and vehicle maintenance tasks
- Maintain clear communication with suppliers and vendors through negotiation skills to ensure timely delivery of parts and inventory replenishment
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating strong phone etiquette and communication skills
Experience
- Previous experience in an automotive parts department or dealership environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair processes
- Proven ability to manage inventory using systems like CMMS or similar software tools
- Strong retail math skills for accurate pricing, order fulfillment, and inventory control calculations
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail sales operations
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting purposes is advantageous
