School Head Cook

Starting Pay: $17.25/hour

Lincoln Academy is looking for a dependable and motivated Cook to join our Food & Nutrition team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing quality meals, working in a team environment, and serving students each day. The Cook plays an important role in ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with care.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to established menus and recipes.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Monitor food temperatures and comply with health department regulations.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries.
• Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Work closely with the Food Service team to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking or commercial food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, organized, and a strong team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation to ensure safety and effectiveness in the role.
