Position Overview
Lincoln Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our elementary team. The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports early childhood growth in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning.
This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction aligned with school and state standards while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
This position reports to the Elementary Principal and follows a contracted schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 185 days per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Support early childhood development, including foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional skills
- Create a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and families
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families, staff, and administration
- Utilize technology and instructional resources to enhance learning
- Manage classroom behavior using school-approved systems and positive reinforcement strategies
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school initiatives and student success
- Prepare students for state-required assessments as appropriate

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Utah teaching license
- Prior elementary or early childhood teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment
