LINC Peer Support Specialist
Location: STAR Center Campus
Compensation: $17–$19/hour (based on experience)

About the Role
LINC is seeking a compassionate, reliable team member to serve as Peer Support Specialist at our new STAR Center campus. This in-person role is essential to the STAR Center campus' mission of supporting individuals transitioning from incarceration and/or navigating recovery. You’ll provide safe transport, emotional support, and practical guidance, helping residents access appointments, build life skills, and stay connected to their goals.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 4PM – 12AM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Provide mentoring and encouragement rooted in lived experience.
- Document appointments and coordinate planning with the STAR Staff.
- Assist clients in accessing medical care, social services, and leisure activities.
- Promote recovery principles, self-determination, and community integration.
- Safely transport residents to appointments, services, and community events
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel logs, and routine upkeep.
- Navigate routes with attention to safety, confidentiality, and client needs.
- Respond calmly to unexpected or high-stress situations during transit.
- Uphold LINC’s values in every interaction, professional, respectful, and trauma-informed.
- Participate in care coordination and crisis response rotation
- Model healthy boundaries, lifestyle habits, and emotional regulation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s in Human Services preferred.
- Peer Support Specialist and/or Community Health Worker certification preferred.
- One year of experience in re-entry, recovery, or residential support settings.
- Clean driving record and familiarity with local traffic laws.
- Basic knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures.
- Strong time management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or justice involvement is welcomed and valued.
