Limon Methodist Church | Limon, Colorado

Limon Methodist Church, a ministry of the Global Methodist Church, is located on the I-70 corridor approximately 1 hour from Denver. We are a rural community of just over 2,000. Limon is referred to as the “Hub City” of the Eastern Plains as we are at the intersection of 5 major roads. We have many amenities including a nearby hospital, highly accredited schools, movie theatre, swimming pool, golf course and restaurants.

We are prayerfully seeking the Lord’s will in providing a faithful shepherd to joyfully lead our rural community congregation. Someone who demonstrates spiritual maturity, humility, integrity, is grounded in the Bible and sound Wesleyan doctrine, has a deep and actively growing relationship with Jesus and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Holding or obtaining credentials as a Global Methodist Elder required.

We are a multigenerational church committed to continued spiritual growth and to fostering a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are especially blessed with many children ages 13 and under, bringing youthful energy and exciting opportunities for ministry to young people and families. We value a pastor who has a genuine heart for ministry in a small community. We enjoy a 9:00am blended service with worship music, traditional hymns and an average weekly attendance of 74 people.

Primary Responsibilities

● Preaching and Teaching: Proclaim biblically grounded messages and nurture spiritual growth through faithful teaching and discipleship for people of varying spiritual maturities. Messages that are rooted in scripture, share the law and gospel and can be lived into in our daily lives.

● Worship Preparation: Plan and guide meaningful worship services coordinating with key volunteers in a structured and timely manner.

● Leadership: Provide spiritual leadership and cultivate shared ministry by working closely with the congregation, volunteers and church leadership.

● Youth Ministry: Provide spiritual leadership, guidance and support to families and leaders of children.

● Communication: Communicate clearly and consistently with the congregation, small groups, leadership, volunteers and with the community.

● Pastoral Care: Offer compassionate care, prayer, visitation, and support to congregants and youth through the joys and challenges of their lives.

Parsonage

We offer an attractive four-bedroom, two and one-half bath parsonage with a spacious and recently renovated lower level plus two-car-attached garage. Utilities and internet included.

Pay: $50,800.00 - $55,000.00 per year
