Role Description
We’re looking for a friendly, fun, and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic pediatric therapy team! If you love working with children and families in a collaborative, supportive environment, this is the place for you.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide 1:1 and group speech-language therapy sessions
· Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
· Maintain timely documentation (daily notes, progress reports, discharge summaries)
· Communicate regularly with families and provide home practice activities
· Monitor progress and adjust goals as needed
· Collaborate with SLAs, OTs, PTs, and other team members
· Attend team meetings and supervision sessions
· Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy environment
Supporting Functions:
• Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with families and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Encourage parent and community involvement.
• Promote positivity among coworkers.
• Participate in professional training and extracurricular activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Achieve and maintain high productivity levels within the schedule and billable hours assigned.
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability to reschedule missed sessions and promote productivity.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic.· • Adhere to dress code and other facility requirements.
• Report on working regularly and punctually.
• Collaborate effectively with all LPS staff members and families.
• Adhere to LPS policies, norms, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Therapy practices, along with a strong foundation in Rehabilitation and Medicine
- Experience or specialized training in working with Pediatrics
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in South Carolina
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated approach to supporting children's development
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for clients
- Previous experience in a pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
