We’re looking for a full-time Career Services Specialist that can provide students with information and advice about the employment market who are seeking job opportunities after they graduate. The Career Services Specialist is also responsible for identifying new career opportunities or partners via business development outreach methods.
The Career Services Specialist will be in the Career Services Department. Career Services is defined as successfully matching a student graduate within an employer location utilizing the skillsets of their program. This position also assists with interview questions and mock interviews with students taking the Professional Development courses in the program. This individual will also be assisting business partners with launching their site and finding the perfect graduates for Career Services.
What’s unique about this position is that we already have the clients and the business who need clients therefore, this process consists of matchmaking and creating the best fit!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain rapport with every possible company that employs graduates from the training program.
- Outreach to gain new clients for career opportunities for students.
- Secures current job openings from client companies for the referral of graduate students.
- Schedules and arranges interviews for graduate students with hiring company clients.
- Advises and assists graduate students with how to conduct job search campaigns and how to successfully interview with companies for positions in the fields which the program teaches.
- Provides Career Services services to graduates who need re-Career Services services.
- Maintains and documents all necessary student files to assure up-to-date and accurate student Career Services record keeping.
- Assists supervisor in the completion of annual statistics of Career Services and completion reports.
- Conducts a day to day evaluations on all graduates from related training programs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Staffing Agent experience for at least 1 year is highly desirable
- Career Coaching for at least 1 year is highly desirable
- Experience in HR recruitment is a plus
- Strong business and business communication acumen
- Self-starter who needs little management
- Excellent project management skills
- Energetic with a strong positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and communicate effectively with Business owners and C-Level executives
- Must possess a strong work ethic, punctuality and the ability to work in a high intense sales environment
- Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement for meeting employer expectations
- Motivation, enthusiasm, and a sensitivity to students needs and interests
- Desire to be on a team of positive, success-minded individuals
