Limelight Communications, Inc. is looking for a motivated, outgoing Part-Time Advertising Sales Representative to join our team and help local businesses reach their customers through two established publications: 50 Plus News & Views and Experience Health Magazine.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and helping local businesses find effective ways to promote their products and services.
Compensation
- $18.00 per hour to start
- Plus 10% commission on collected revenue from gross advertising sales secured by the salesperson
- Approximately 15-18 hours per week
- $0.60 per mile mileage reimbursement for approved business-related travel

About the Position
As an Advertising Sales Representative, you will work directly with local businesses and organizations to develop advertising partnerships in our publications.
You will identify potential advertisers, make sales calls, meet with business owners and decision-makers, present advertising opportunities, and maintain relationships with existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Contact local businesses and organizations to introduce our publications and advertising opportunities
- Develop new advertising accounts through phone calls, emails, networking and in-person visits
- Meet with business owners and decision-makers to learn about their marketing needs
- Recommend advertising options that fit each customer's goals and budget
- Maintain positive relationships with existing advertisers and encourage repeat business
- Follow up with prospects and current customers
- Meet reasonable sales and revenue goals
- Keep accurate records of sales activity and customer contacts
- Represent our publications professionally within the community

- Interested in building long-term relationships rather than simply making a one-time sale
- Previous sales experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Knowledge of the local business community is a plus.
