Lilyfield Intern Job Description
Purpose: Provide support for Lilyfield programs; Provide direct support to EmpowerYouth and EmpowerParent programs by serving agency sites and families served through these programs. Provide direct support to youth through Check and Connect mentorship. Recruit participants for agency programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist or lead in program activities at various sites.
- Maintain strong relationships with agency staff and/or community partners involved in agency programming.
- Provide support to Lilyfield families.
- Participate in data collection and reporting of outcome measures.
- Assist in maintaining rosters and gathering consent forms as needed.
- Assist in the management of different agency program case files.
- Preparation of activities for youth programming.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth.
- Assist in the recruitment of agency program participants in the community.
- Some driving may be required
- Other tasks as assigned
Wage Classification:
This is a paid internship. Internship stipends will be paid bi-weekly according to number of hours worked.
Financial Justification for the Position:
This position is funded through various funding streams including state contracts and private donations.
Work Hours:
12 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends for program support or recruitment as needed.
Reporting:
This position reports to the internship coordinator for each program.

Education/Training:
High school diploma. Some experience with working with youth or families preferred but not required.
Competencies/Requirements:
- Willingness to agree to and abide by all policies and procedures including OP410 Faith Engagement and OP413 Practicing Biblical Hospitality, Justice, and Service
- Spanish, speaking and writing preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills
- Trauma informed
- Demonstrated competence in assessment and engagement of children and families
- Knowledge of issues surrounding ethnicity, socio economics and foster care
- Ability to use discretion when discussing sensitive or confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to schedule and multitask
- Good problem-solving skills
- Meet requirements of licensing standards in regard to criminal background check.
- Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing the assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Experience:
No experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit on the floor, bend and be at ground level with children.
