We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities. This role requires a nurturing approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate healthcare staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Support clients in social activities and community engagement as needed.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or home community care is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration and care plans is highly desirable.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Background in nursing or social work can be beneficial but is not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations are essential.
