We are currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team onsite in our Orlando, FL office. We offer a 9/80 work schedule and foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties which include installing, troubleshoot, repairing, and maintaining production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, inspect, and install machinery
  • Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Install and assemble new machines and equipment
  • Test new or refurbished equipment before fully operational
  • Interpret and follow mechanical manuals related to industrial machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machinery
  • Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment for optimal use
  • Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems to repair production equipment involving electrical control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Order parts and maintain required documents.
  • Create documentation for equipment
  • Travel to and purchase parts from local home improvement stores.
  • Assist in 5S and safety initiatives and support other lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Must wear the necessary PPE
  • Must be able to pass an OSHA Respirator Test
  • Other duties may be assigned

Special Authority:

  • Stop any nonconforming process(es) which may affect safety, poor quality or customer satisfaction
  • Report any halted nonconforming process(es) to production manager, quality department, and/or process engineer.

Knowledge, ability and skills:

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to solve basic math problems 
  • Regularly required to sit, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to walk or smell
  • Occasional standing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional exposure to the following: work near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, a risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work with moderate level of noise
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
Qualifications:

Minimum previous experience/qualification:

  • High school diploma or GED and two (2) year related industrial maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
  • Must be authorized to work and reside in the US and must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government to confirm with but not limited to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR) but not limited to U.S. export (ITAR) guidelines.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hoists and grinders
  • Relevant certification will be considered an advantage (HVAC, CMRP, PMMI)
