We are seeking an experienced Installation Team Lead with a strong mechanical background and proven ability to lead small field crews on installation projects.

This is a hands-on hybrid role that combines field leadership and shop-based work. When deployed on projects, the Team Lead will lead crews in the field, performing installation work at height on rooftops, industrial facilities, towers, and elevated platforms. When not traveling or on active job sites, the role will be based in our Boulder facility, supporting fabrication, inventory, equipment preparation, and shop operations.

This role is responsible for both on site leadership and execution, ensuring projects are delivered to LEC quality standards while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. The position will begin with time in our manufacturing facility to learn LEC systems and standards, then transition primarily into field leadership on domestic and international job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise small installation crews on job sites
  • Perform and oversee installation work at heights including rooftops, elevated structures, and lift equipment
  • Ensure strict compliance with fall protection systems, safety procedures, and site requirements
  • Coordinate installation activities to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Install, inspect, and maintain lightning protection systems according to LEC standards
  • Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate field implementation
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot field challenges and make real time decisions
  • Assist in fabrication, shop work, and logistics when not in the field
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming installations
  • Assist with inventory organization, shipping, and shop workflow improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading small teams in a field environment such as construction or mechanical installation
  • Ability to travel frequently domestic and international
  • Ability to climb, balance, and work safely at height for extended periods up to 10 hours per day
  • Valid driver’s license and passport or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to pass DISA background checks and drug screening including hair testing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on installation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of field operations
  • Strong mathematical aptitude including applied geometry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • 5 or more years of experience in mechanical installation or construction
  • Prior experience as a crew lead, foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Extensive experience working at height in industrial or construction environments
  • CPR, First Aid, fall protection certifications, or TWIC card
  • Experience operating lifts including boom lifts up to 135 feet
  • Foreign language skills
  • Technical or trade school education
