Lead Security Installation Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Installation Technician located in Glenwood Springs, CO, to join our team. As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Travel within the Western Slope required.

Duties:

• Install and configure security systems, including access control and surveillance.
• Read and interpret plans and schematics to determine the layout and placement of security equipment.
• Assist in infrastructure installation needs such as pulling, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
• Assist in infrastructure installation needs such as pulling, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling.
• Identify and resolve security system malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities.

Skills:

• Full knowledge of security systems installation and wiring requirements.
• Ability to terminate low voltage cabling. Abilit to terminate fiber is a plus.
• Experience with Genetec, Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, Assa Abloy, Salto or comparable manufactures preferred.
• Ability to complete physical tasks including, lifting 50 lbs., climb ladders, working outdoors, standing for extended periods of time.
• Strong communication skills.
• AVIXA certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients during installations.
• Field service experience is preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
