What You’ll Be Doing
- Student Loan Forgiveness: As a nonprofit, our employees may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, which forgives the remaining balance on your student loans after 10 years of qualifying service!
- Patient Care: Provide pediatric occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT.
- Treatment Implementation: Assist in developing and executing treatment plans focused on motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Therapeutic Engagement: Administer exercises and activities designed to engage children while improving their physical development.
- Family Education: Collaborate with families to educate them on home-based techniques to ensure consistent progress outside of the clinic.
- Collaboration: Work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care for every child.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and monitor progress throughout each session.
What You Need to Bring
- Licensure: Valid Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required).
- Certification: Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is mandatory.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, families, and our medical team.
- Adaptability: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the unique, changing needs of pediatric patients.
Pay: From $37.85 per hour
