Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, creative Barista who understands that hospitality is ministry and presentation is atmosphere.
This is a Sunday-only role for someone who:
- Has current, active barista experience
- Can work with excellence in fast-paced environments
- Can create Lighthouse-themed specialty beverages that reflect our brand, culture, and prophetic identity
- Takes pride in crafting memorable service moments
What You’ll DoPrimary Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee, teas, and specialty beverages with speed and excellence
- Develop signature Lighthouse-centered drinks (e.g., prophetic blends, seasonal specialties, themed lattes)
- Open café space prior to service, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and aesthetic excellence
- Maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for members, guests, and first-time visitors
- Manage beverage inventory and restocking
- Keep café equipment and prep spaces clean, sanitary, and organized
- Serve with joy, hospitality, and intentionality, reflecting the spirit of The Lighthouse
- Work efficiently during pre-service and post-service rushes
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to maintain smooth flow
Who You Are
- Currently working as a barista or with recent active experience
- Highly skilled in beverage preparation and latte artistry
- Creative — able to design unique, Lighthouse-inspired specialty drinks
- Excellence-driven and detail-oriented
- Warm, personable, and atmosphere-conscious
- Reliable, consistent, and punctual
- Able to uphold Lighthouse culture: honor, order, joy, and intentionality
Requirements
- Current barista experience is mandatory (not past hobby experience)
- Demonstrated creativity in beverage crafting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently
- Early Sunday availability
- Alignment with the values and culture of The Lighthouse
