What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Part-Time position at Lighthouse Senior Living?
The ideal candidate has a valid driving license, high school diploma or GED, at least three years of experience as a driver or one year of experience in an Assisted Living community, basic knowledge of Dementia and Alzheimer’s, good computer skills, and excellent communication and customer service skills. In addition, he or she must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must meet the physical requirements of the position as listed.
- Safely operate a vehicle van to take residents to designated locations.
- Load and unload residents on the wheelchair lift if needed.
- Ensure that all residents arrive on time while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to find the best routes for timely deliveries
