We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, enhancing their dining experience. Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations while handling food items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) for order management when necessary.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members.
- Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts is advantageous but not required.
