What are the responsibilities and job description for the Living Skills Instructor position at Lighthouse Living Services, INC?
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others and feel appreciated for your work? We are looking for a Part-Time instructor to teach independent living skills to adults with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities. This position involves working with clients living in the Orland and Willows area. The current position is approximately 20-25 hours per week. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule to help support clients throughout the week, sometimes with minimal notice. All employees receive 5 paid days off per year, cell phone stipend and company sponsored life insurance. Applicants bi-lingual in Spanish and English are strongly encouraged to apply!
This position requires extreme attention to detail, patience and the ability to be on time and work independently. Our instructors provide transportation to and from various appointments and errands, so a reliable car is a necessity, with mileage reimbursed at .72.5 cents per mile. Scheduling is flexible, which makes this a perfect job for a student or parent with school aged children, though appointments are mostly Monday thru Friday at various times (to be scheduled with each client).
Applicant will be required to pass a Department of Justice background check, provide proof of auto insurance, and obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
