Responsibilities of a Business Office Manager (BOM):

• Will be responsible for billing, follow up, and appealing various claims to ensure payment is received.
• The candidate must be results-focused and detail-oriented.
• Must work well with residents and families as well as co-workers.
• Must be able to meet billing deadlines and follow a calendar to ensure that other deadlines are met.
• Everything that is serviced in the patients is collected
• Make sure no pending bills, no aging collections
• Executing, Review, & Process Payments
• Retrieve Authorization and process refunds
• Write off, collections, and postings of funds received for service rendered
• LTC- MediCal
• Medicare / Medicaid
• Educate patients and families on insurance
• Proficient with PCC - Point Click Care, Excel, Quickbooks

Qualifications for a Business Office Manager (BOM):

• Ideally three (3) years’ of BOM experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), with a specific focus on collections and outstanding receivables
• College degree preferred with emphasis in accounting or business-related.
• Must have prior experience with Medicaid and Medicare billing and collections.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
• Point Click Care (PCC) billing system experience is preferred.
• The candidate must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal; and be able to problem solve.
