What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician, LMHP position at Lighthouse 1, LLC?
Lighthouse 1 LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to provide clinical services to girls ages 8–17 residing in our therapeutic group home. The clinician will play a key role in supporting residents through assessment, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Monitor resident progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Complete progress notes, quarterly and annual reviews, discharge summaries, and other required documentation.
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support.
- Collaborate with direct care staff, the Case Manager, psychiatrists, schools, DSS, CSA, medical providers, and other community partners.
- Ensure documentation complies with DBHDS, Medicaid, HIPAA, and agency standards.
- Prepare reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active Virginia LMHP license required. No LMHP Residents, Supervisees, or Trainees.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral challenges preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and person-centered treatment planning.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and Child Protective Services Central Registry search.
