Job Summary
The Sr. Inventory Control Analyst is responsible to work closely with Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting groups for: maintaining inventory accuracy, maintaining the integrity of the inventory, and SAP material transactions in support of RM, WIP, and finished Goods inventory control throughout the entire process.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Sr. Inventory Control Analyst is responsible to work closely with Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting groups for: maintaining inventory accuracy, maintaining the integrity of the inventory, and SAP material transactions in support of RM, WIP, and finished Goods inventory control throughout the entire process.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate process and recommend changes in the process to improve Inventory Accuracy.
- The Inventory Control Analysis is responsible to oversee, train, and work with ALL SAP users on all shifts responsible for SAP inventory transactions.
- Coordinate and set cycle count monthly schedule of all inventory areas and reports on accuracy to direct supervisor.
- Performs, coordinates, and leads the month-end physical inventory count teams and reports on Monthly Physical Inventory results.
- Provides support for month-end close in support of accounting department. Month-end close period is last day of month, plus two business days.
- Provide input, with support from Purchasing and Accounting Controller, on Inventory Aging report (Raw materials and Finished Goods) as to on hand and future demand of excess and obsolete inventory.
- Adjust system quantities and auditing strength element and fiber inventories.
- Investigating root causes for inventory errors. Performs lessons learned from root cause analysis for inventory errors and inaccurate SAP movements of material.
- Analyze and perform inventory corrections to suspect locations and/or materials with approval from direct supervisor, direct manager, and/or Accounting Controller.
- Assist with and maintains inventory accuracy reporting, suggest changes to inventory location management and helps oversee inventory consolidation projects.
- Audit inventory moves and material transactions.
- Assist and support SAP users in support (all shifts) of inventory transaction movements to resolve inventory related issues.
- Provide training for inventory location management and scanners.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Coordinate requests for inventory status changes, item number changes and pallet configurations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and perform necessary inventory corrections or adjustments to maintain inventory accuracy between the SAP ZSATS ATS report and to SAP-010 finished goods storage locations. This will require working closely with the Quality Department and Production Control.
- Bachelor degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management and/or equivalent work experience in related field.
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Warehouse and Receiving experience required
- Requires SAP experience in the Materials Management modules.
- Dependable and detail oriented, with a high sense of urgency.
- Good organization skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are important because the job requires significant interaction with other employees including Manufacturing Associates, Quality, Supervisors, Managers and Engineers.
