Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Engage students in meaningful activities that promote learning and participation.
- Provide support in curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student behavior.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist with special education needs, including working with students with autism or other developmental challenges.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Experience in teaching, particularly in early childhood education or special education settings.
- Proficient in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Previous experience working with children, including tutoring or childcare roles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods, and preschool experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
