Job Description

* Actively acknowledge and speak to all children in the classroom.

* Understands and follows the center’s policies and procedures.

* Actively talks to the children throughout the day.

* Engage and greet parents in the classroom, and common areas throughout the school.

* Follow proper staff/child ratios as set by the state licensing entity.

* Upload basic needs and safety checks: name to face, sleep checks, pictures (three per week), portfolios into the Lightbridge Journey App.

* Clean and organize classrooms daily based on Lightbridge Academy and Health/Sanitation standards.

* Properly “Opens” or “Closes” the classroom/pod.

* Maintains a positive relationship with co-workers.

* Maintains confidentiality and follows the center’s Social Media Policy.

* Implement positive reinforcement and redirection of children’s behavior, in accordance with Lightbridge Academy’s Discipline Policy.

* Supervise children in the classroom.

* Supervise children in the Outdoor Learning Environment during “outdoor” time.

* Participate in required trainings, meetings, conferences ect. either on or off site.

* Carries out the Lightbridge Academy Seedlings© curriculum.

* Feeds children per class schedule and/or individualized feeding schedule.

* Diapers children every two hours or following their toilet training schedule as applicable.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Teacher Qualifications:

· Creative and energetic

· CPR Certified and SID certified (if applicable)

· Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations

· Basic proficiency with educational technology tools.

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

· Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
