Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Semi Dump Truck Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating semi dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently following designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load & unload procedures will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects with a focus on safety, precision, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate manual 18 speed semi dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as front end loaders ensuring secure and balanced loads
- Transport materials across designated routes efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Assist with the loading as needed
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with semi dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity and endorsements with manual transmission vehicles .
- Strong understanding of route driving best practices and safety protocols
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations
